Montana Strong shirts raise over $64,000!!

Sixty-Four Thousand Reasons to Thank People who Love Montana

To each of you who bought a #MONTANASTRONG t-shirt or hat in support of our recent wildfire relief efforts: We can’t thank you enough. With your help, Montana Shirt Co. raised $34,000 in relief funds for communities that suffered in Montana’s worst wildfire season in 20 years. Add in a generous $30,000 in matching funds and you’ve all helped raise $64,000 to help Montanans hurt by the fires this summer!

This all started in early September, when Montana was choking under an oppressive blanket of smoke. Upset about the havoc and devastation the fires were bringing to our beautiful state, we decided it was time to help. After coming up with the #MONTANASTRONG design, we printed up a few shirts and posted them on Facebook to raise money for Montana fire victims. We were shocked and humbled by the immediate response from all around the country.

We just hoped our customers would want to help as much as we did. And did you ever!

Almost immediately, our small business kicked into high gear. Our staff worked double time at the printing presses and the packaging table to deliver #MONTANASTRONG to generous supporters across Montana and 46 other states. We were absolutely amazed and proud of all of you who wanted to help Montanans who were suffering. Way to go folks! Each one of you truly represents the best that Montana has to offer.

With your support, within two weeks we gave the Montana Fire Relief Fund $25,000, a donation that was matched in whole by Montana Television Network. Donating to this particular fund, which was established by the Montana Community Foundation, ensures that 100% of the relief money stays in Montana.

We also gave $5,000 to the Glacier National Park Conservancy’s Sperry Action Fund, which was matched by the Thomas O. Brown Foundation for a total contribution of $10,000. Thanks to your help, the stone shell of the historic Sperry Chalet, which burned in the Sprague Fire on August 31, has been stabilized for the winter. This gives the beloved backcountry boarding house the best chance at future restoration.

The crew at Montana Shirt Co., thanks you all so much for your support. Every purchase of our #MontanaStrong shirts helped a fellow Montanan.

Stay tuned for new Montana Shirt Co. styles, upcoming sales and updates.
